Job summary

Republic Services Texas is seeking a CDL A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks for timely delivery and removal of large containers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and complete daily VCRs and route reports.

The role emphasizes customer service, punctuality, and adherence to company safety policies. Two years' truck experience and a valid Class A CDL with air brakes are preferred; we offer benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to adhere to Company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and ready.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service customers as identified.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact with customers, dispatchers, and others daily to ensure timely service.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Clean area around spills and follow safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime and keep containers clean.
• Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports as required.
• Meet productivity standards and follow all safety policies.
• Participate in the ReSOP program and perform other duties as assigned.
