Job summary

Louisville MSD is seeking candidates for a Utility Worker I role. Those with a Class A CDL and N endorsement at hire will be promoted to Utility Worker I ($24.00 hour) after completing training requirements.

Under direct supervision, you will perform physical, unskilled tasks related to sewer and drainage maintenance, ensuring compliance with MSD rules. Primary duties include mowing and cleaning ditches, snow shoveling, trimming vegetation, and operating pumps and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with N endorsement required at hire.
• Must comply with Federal, State, Local and MSD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Mows and cleans ditches.
• Shovels snow in season.
• Trims trees and bushes.
• Sets up and operates portable pumps, 90 lb. jackhammers and other heavy equipment.
• Digs ditches, holes and other excavations.
• Loads/unloads equipment and supplies weighing 10–100 lbs.
• Lifts heavy objects from ground to an elevation of 4'8".
