Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking Class A Linehaul Truck Drivers in the Chicago, IL area. Drivers will haul van and double trailers between service centers and turn-points, returning home daily. A CDL Class A, clean MVR/PSP, and DOT certification are required, with endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required.
• 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean MVR/PSP with no major FMCSA violations; max 3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Age 23, 21+ to meet FMCSA military transition rules.
• Able to operate equipment safely at all times.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must complete a road test successfully.
• Able to bend, lift, and stoop as needed.
• Dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A linehaul trucks, hauling van/double trailers between service centers.
• Work and deliver to turn-points, returning home daily.
• Follow all safety, DOT, and company policies.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Chicago, IL Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations and returning home daily.

Requirements/Qualifications

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
