Job summary

R+L Carriers in Oakland, CA is hiring a CDL-A Truck Driver for linehaul. Pull van trailers up to 53’ or doubles between service centers and turn‑points and return home daily. Starting wage is $39.32 hourly.

You must have a valid CDL-A and at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving in the past 3 years. We offer PTO after 90 days, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and lodging at our employee resorts in Daytona Beach, Big Bear Lake, Pigeon

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP with limited violations.
• Age 23 (21 to transition per FMCSA).
• Able to operate equipment safely.
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Pass road test.
• Able to bend, lift and stoop.
• Dependable.

Starting at $39.32 an hour. Our drivers are home every day!

Job Overview

Pull van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn‑point locations, and return home daily.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz‑mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz‑mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
