Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a CDL-A Linehaul Driver in Birmingham, AL. You will pull van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers and return home daily. Earn up to $95,000 yearly with comprehensive benefits.

PTO is available after the first 90 calendar days, and employees enjoy resort-style lodging at company locations. Must pass DOT, road test, and have a clean MVR/PSP.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record with no serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen and complete road test.
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop and be dependable for daily home-time.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A linehaul trucks pulling 53' vans or doubles between service centers.
• Return home daily while ensuring safe, compliant operation of equipment.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for Class A Linehaul Drivers at our Birmingham, AL Service Center. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be tasked with pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between our service centers and/or turn-point locations, and returning home daily.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Experienced pulling doubles
• Any LTL freight experience
