Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 21 years of age and 1 year driving experience per FMCSA.
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center.
• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift (7500 lb).
• Able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack (70 lbs).
• Physical abilities include standing, lifting, twisting, etc.
• Must be capable of dropping/hooking and coupling trailers (65 lbs) and maneuvering trailer dolly.
• Meet FMCSA English reading/speaking requirements.
• Able to drive in mountains, extreme terrains and various weather.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer safely to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Adhere to run times and safety regulations; maintain required records.
• Inspect vehicle pre-trip and post-trip; ensure cargo security.
• Comply with hazardous materials transport requirements and company policies.
• Use in-cab technology and electronic logs as required.
• Perform local pickup/delivery, hub/regional, and dock work.
• Provide professional service to customers and the public.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes and over-the-road runs as needed.
