Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a professional CDL-A driver to transport freight across routes with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance. You will perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and comply with FMCSA rules.

The role may include loading/unloading duties and occasional over-the-road assignments. The position requires HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements, a valid CDL-A, and the ability to pass medical and road tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be 21+ years old and have one year of driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the service center/work assignment.
• Prior forklift operation ability is a plus.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• English reading/speaking ability to meet FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety, regulatory and security requirements for hazardous materials.
• Maintain required records and logs; use in-cab electronic logging devices as required.
• Dock work and loading/unloading as needed; occasional over-the-road runs.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Attend regularly and comply with all company rules and Code of Conduct.
