Job summary

Sysco Columbus is hiring delivery drivers to transport and unload products to customers, following company standards and safety protocols. The role requires a valid CDL A, 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver up to 350 pounds with a cart.

Expect overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays with paid holidays and weekly pay. The job emphasizes strong customer relations and safe, efficient delivery operations across routes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted as alternative or in addition to high school diploma.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and records.

Responsibilities

• Transport product from the warehouse using a tractor trailer to customers and unload per invoices and standards.
• Unload product by hand or with a hand cart, following safety and store procedures.
• Complete DOT logs, inspections, and post-trip reports and ensure invoices are accurate.
• Maintain food safety and sanitary conditions in vehicle and warehouse areas.
• Build strong customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.

Education

High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree

Completion of a tractor trailer driving school

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
