Job summary

SMS group is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to support local customer operations in Warren, MI. This full-time role offers mainly local driving with some OTR, a $2,500 signing bonus, overtime pay, and home daily expectations.

You will be responsible for driving 50 ft, 6-8 axel flatbed trailers, loading/unloading with an overhead crane, chaining and tarping loads, and maintaining the vehicle and records while adhering to safety standards and attendance requirements.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL driver's license and an excellent driving record.
• Have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• A safety minded worker who is drug free, dependable, and able to maintain an excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Have experience driving 50 ft, 6-8 axel flatbed semi-trailers.
• Be capable of loading/unloading using an overhead crane, including chaining and tarping the load.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain the vehicle and records.
• Be able to work any shift, including weekends and overtime.
• Be willing to cross-train on other jobs when not trucking.
