Job summary

SMS group USA in Warren, MI is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to support customer operations. This role focuses on local routes, safety, and efficient loading/unloading.

You will handle load securing, crane-assisted loading, and maintaining vehicle records. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required, with home daily.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL license with an excellent driving record.
• Experience driving 50 ft, 6-8 axle flatbed trailers is preferred.
• Willing to cross-train on other jobs when not trucking.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload using an overhead crane and tarping the load.
• Maintain vehicle and log records accurately.
• Work occasional overtime or weekend shifts; home daily.

The right candidate will...

• Have experience driving 50 ft, 6-8 axel flatbed semi-trailers
• Be capable of loading/unloading using an overhead crane, including chaining and tarping the load
• Demonstrate ability to maintain the vehicle and records
• Be able to work any shift, including weekends and overtime
• Be willing to cross-train on other jobs when not trucking

What You’ll Need…

• A valid Class A CDL driver\'s license and an excellent driving record
• Have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• A safety minded worker who is drug free, dependable, and able to maintain an excellent attendance record

• $2500 SIGNING BONUS (one time)
• Overtime pay for hours over 8 in a day/40 per week. Double-time on Sunday/Holidays plus Holiday pay
• Mostly local driving. Some OTR but home every day
