Job summary

GCC is seeking a Transportation Operator - Driver with Class A CDL to join our Rapid City operation. You will transport solid fuel materials, load and unload with heavy equipment, and ensure DOT compliance while contributing to safety and efficiency.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean Class A CDL, and at least two years of commercial driving experience. You will perform routine maintenance and keep accurate records, working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., skid steer, loader).
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition including lifting and climbing in/out of trucks.

Responsibilities

• Transport solid fuel materials between operational facilities.
• Load and unload materials using heavy equipment and manual labor.
• Collect and deliver tires and wood by-products.
• Daily preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of receiving and delivering inventory.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Perform other duties in support of alternative fuels operations.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and adhere to best practices.
