Job summary

GCC is a global leader in cement and construction materials, seeking a Transportation Operator in Rapid City, SD. You will operate heavy equipment, ensure DOT compliance, and move materials between plants while upholding safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes independent work, teamwork, and accurate record-keeping, with a benefits package including PTO and 401K. A valid CDL-A and 2 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience.
• Ability to operate skid steer, loader, screen, tire shredder, tire debeader.
• Strong safety focus and adherence to procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Physically fit to lift 50 lbs and perform outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Transport solid fuel materials between facilities.
• Load and unload materials using heavy equipment.
• Collect tires and wood by-products.
• Perform daily maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Work independently or in a team.
