Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is hiring truck drivers for dry van freight along the East Coast. You’ll be home every two weeks and run about 2,500 miles weekly with drop-and-hook loads.

New drivers start at $0.55 per mile (experience adds up to $0.65) plus a $15 stop pay and a performance bonus plan; training pay is $650 per week for 4–6 weeks with a paid trainer.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A and 21+ years old.
• New drivers: 120+ hours from accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in last 12 months or 12+ months in past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years; no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Must pass hair/urine drug testing and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Dry van freight along the eastern seaboard.
• Loads mostly drop-and-hook; home every two weeks.
• Average about 2,500 miles per week.
• Start on payroll with $0.55 per mile, rising to $0.65 with experience; includes stop pay and bonuses.

First Weeks

• Ride with an experienced trainer on real loads, 4 to 6 weeks
• $650 per week training pay
• Solo truck after sign off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for 3 months solo

The Job

• Dry van freight up and down the eastern seaboard
• Loads don't go too far west
• Home every two weeks
• About 2,500 miles a week, mostly drop and hook

Earnings

• $1,200 to $1,500 average weekly gross
• $0.55 per mile to start, plus 1 cent per year of experience, up to $0.65
• $15 stop pay
• Performance bonus plan
