McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee in Minnesota. You’ll receive paid training, hands-on coaching, and the support to become a driver. From day one, you’ll earn competitive pay and benefits as you prepare for a full Driver position.

Responsibilities include learning to maneuver, safety, logs, deliveries, and customer service. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, holidays, vacation, 401(k) after 90 days, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
• Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.
• Safely drive a tractor-trailer; use a dolly, ramp, and PeopleNet devices.
• English reading/writing at a level suitable for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely complying with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment for defects and submit DOT reports.
• Use Driver Delivery Handheld to document receipts and temps.
• Train with Driver Trainers to learn driving and safety skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Provide on-time delivery and handle customer credits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
