McLane is seeking a CDL-A Driver Trainee in Minnesota. This hands-on training program preps you for a full Driver role with paid training, hands-on coaching, and a clear path to a rewarding CDL-A career.

You’ll train with experienced Driver Trainers, learning all aspects of the role from safety to customer service. After training, you’ll earn $75,000–$88,000 annually, with top drivers earning $100,000+. Local/regional routes, day‑1 benefits, and a $5,000 sign‑on bonus are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify quantities of product.
• Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.
• Safely drive a tractor‑trailer, use a 2‑wheeled dolly, ramp, and on board PeopleNet devices.

Responsibilities

• Learn to maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor‑trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT reports.
• Document delivery receipts and temperatures using DDH/PeopleNet.
• Ride with Driver Trainers to learn routes and regulations.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading trailers and delivering product to customers.
• Provide on‑time, undamaged deliveries and handle customer credits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
