American Driver is actively recruiting CDL-A trainees from Moss Point, MS Gulf Coast. We bridge the gap between school and solo driving with a Paid Mentor Program, offering guaranteed weekly pay during training and a smooth transition to solo pay rates.

The program includes 4–6 weeks of mentorship, $300 orientation, and benefits after 30 days, with equipment in the 2022+ range and no-touch freight. You’ll earn $1,300–$1,550 weekly once solo, with top performers earning $1,800+.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Graduated from an accredited CDL school (120+ hours) OR have under 6 months of recent OTR experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Just graduated CDL school in the Gulf Coast area and having trouble getting hired? We will put you in a truck.

We are currently hiring CDL-A trainees directly out of Moss Point, Jackson County, and the surrounding MS Gulf Coast region. Most carriers demand 1–2 years of experience before they even look at your application. We take a different approach: if you completed your training and hold a valid CDL-A, our Paid Mentor Program will bridge the gap between school and a confident solo career.

THE TRAINING PROGRAM

EQUIPMENT & FREIGHT

• Assigned Equipment: 2022 or newer Kenworth or Freightliner (automatic, equipped with APU).
• No Slip-Seating: Once assigned, the truck is yours—you don't move your gear every week.
• 100% No-Touch Freight: Dry van loads, approximately 70% drop-and-hook.
• 2,200 to 2,800 miles per week average across East of I-35 lanes.

SCHEDULE

• 12 Days Out / 2 Days Home: True OTR setup out of the Moss Point area. Stable, predictable home time rotations.
