Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Florida to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return with full trailers, adhering to DOT regulations. The role requires a tandem/tractor trailer license and doubles endorsement, plus safety and paperwork compliance.

The position operates on a Sunday through Thursday night schedule with annual pay around $70,000, offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within America’s food distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday -Thursday nights
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) as per DOT.
• Reports safety issues/repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper load security.
• Ensures route paperwork is with the load.
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secures equipment and freight.
• Completes hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Performs general housekeeping in dock/yard.
