Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support the company’s logistics network. You will transport empty trailers to operating locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, complying with DOT regulations and safety protocols.

The position offers a Sunday–Thursday 6pm start, a mandatory 2-week training in Clanton, Alabama, and competitive benefits including health, 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift: Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT rules.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for proper load security and paperwork.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractors and trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; manage damaged goods.
