Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty and full trailers across intrastate and interstate routes, turning around trailers at domicile/shuttle yards. You will work 3rd shift, 10–12 hour days, with a focus on safety, DOT compliance, and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, load security, proper paperwork, and maintaining logs. Requires CDL-A with doubles, 21+, clean MVR, and ability to lift 60–90 lbs. Growth and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday -Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs required.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Park and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure all equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns paperwork in trailer.
• Unload equipment and keep trailers clean.
• Complete daily hours of service logs per regulations.
• Perform housekeeping in loading dock area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
