Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to operate tractor/trailer and straight truck on intrastate routes, delivering full trailers and moving empty trailers to yard locations. You’ll drive Jefferson City, MO to Springfield, MO and back, returning home daily on a 3rd shift schedule.

The role emphasizes DOT compliance, safety checks, and customer interactions. Requirements include CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+, 6+ months driving experience, and a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• 6+ months commercial driving experience
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
• Internal candidates must be in good standing
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet all State licensing/certification requirements
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test and DOT Health Card
• Able to lift 10-90 lb and move freight

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT rules
• Report safety issues and repairs
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines
• Ensure route paperwork is ready for dispatch
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule
• Perform hook/unhook per safety guidelines
• Park and secure trailers
• Secure damaged goods and returns for return
• Unload equipment and clean trailers
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs
• Perform housekeeping in tractor and dock areas
• Assist with other related duties as needed
