Job summary

US Foods Shuttle Truck Drivers operate a tractor-trailer between distribution centers and shuttle yards in Groveland, FL. You will switch loaded trailers with empty ones, perform safety checks, and ensure accuracy of routes and paperwork.

Applicants must be at least 21, hold a valid CDL A with endorsements and DOT qualification, have six months of truck driving or three months of foodservice experience, and a Double Endorsement. Pay starts at $27.00/hour with incentive pay and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualified.
• Minimum six months commercial truck driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage truck delivery experience.
• Double Endorsement License Required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer between US FOODS distribution centers and shuttle yards.
• Switch loaded trailers with empty trailers, safely and efficiently.
• Check Route Numbers and Account Numbers for all assigned deliveries.
• Check Customer Invoices of products loaded.
• Move tractor to loading dock to attach pre-loaded trailers and/or second trailer with dolly.
• Hook trailers and ensure connections are correct and secure.
• Use Electronic Time Keeping System to log time at stop site.
• Check for returns and paperwork on trailers shuttling back to distribution center.
• Perform safety checks on truck and trailer.
• Handle fueling as required and park/secure equipment.
