Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Starkville, MS, is seeking a Shuttle Driver to move empty trailers between warehouse and domicile sites and to deliver full trailers on routes. The role requires DOT-compliant driving across intrastate and interstate trips and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL A with a Doubles Endorsement, a clean MVR, and is ready for 3rd shift Sundays-Thursday. DOT health card and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday – Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Inspects equipment and reports safety issues or repairs.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Completes daily hours-of-service log per requirements.
• Unloads equipment and maintains clean trailer area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
