Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Evansville, IN is seeking a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to safely operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. You will deliver food and related products on a timely schedule, connect with customers professionally, and uphold DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include route adherence, load verification, and accurate paperwork, with a focus on safe handling of 10–90 lb items and teamwork within the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements as applicable.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Possess or obtain DOT Health Card.
• Capability to lift 10-90 lbs and operate equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive to supplier/vendor and PFG locations per route and schedule.
• Deliver loads to PFG warehouse locations; ensure timely loading/unloading.
• Complete required load paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Communicate route, load, and schedule with supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of issues and changes; secure equipment at end of shift.
• Perform related duties as required.
