Republic Services is seeking a CDL A driver to safely operate heavy commercial vehicles for the delivery and removal of large containers. You will perform pre/post inspections, adhere to safety regulations, and provide courteous service to customers along designated routes.

Role requires maintaining vehicle readiness, completing reports, and performing minor container repairs as needed. A strong safety record and two years of driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules; promotes safety standards and avoids taking unnecessary risks.
• Maintains a feeling of pride in work; strives to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and report issues.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer as identified.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to service routes in a timely manner.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and cleanliness to minimize downtime.
• Complete required route productivity sheets and reports.
• Meet productivity standards to ensure timely service for all customers.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
