Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL (A) to safely operate a heavy truck for prompt delivery and removal of large containers. The role requires compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and daily vehicle condition reporting.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, service routes, interact with customers professionally, and perform minor container repairs. Two years of truck driving experience is preferred, with strong safety focus and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper operation.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service each customer on the route.
• Operate controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and others daily.
• Perform minor container repairs on-site or in the container yard.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and safety compliance.
• Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service and safety.
