Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) responsible for safely operating a collection truck and delivering prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role emphasizes pre- and post-trip inspections, adherence to safety standards, and daily completion of VCRs and reports.

Candidates must hold a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and demonstrate strong customer service and time-management skills in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
• Ability to operate a heavy truck safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Courteous customer service and professional interaction with customers and dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
• Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Complete route productivity sheets and VCRs, and other reports as required.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
