Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks and ensure timely delivery and disposal of waste. The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections, adherence to safety policies, and courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers.

Your responsibilities include loading/unloading waste, performing minor container repairs, and maintaining accurate route sheets and reports. A clean CDL A with air brakes endorsement and prior truck driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route to the disposal site.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of material.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others daily.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
• Tag and identify unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain safety.
• Complete required route productivity reports and VCRs.
