Cheeseman Transport is seeking CDL A regional dry van drivers based in Channahon, IL. You will haul forklifts, tow motors, and parts in 53ft trailers across the eastern half of the US, with home weekends and consistent weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Hazmat & tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain within 60 days of employment
• No felony in the past 7 years
• No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements and pass pre-employment drug screen
• Hiring radius: live within 40 miles of Channahon, IL

Responsibilities

• Deliver forklifts, tow motors and parts in 53ft dry van trailers across the eastern half of the US
• No loading or unloading; secure freight with wooden blocks and nail gun
• Operate newer model trucks with automatic transmissions and onboard APU/power inverter
• Paid weekly via direct deposit, mileage- and stop-based pay plus bonuses

Cheeseman Transport is hiring CDL A regional dry van drivers in Channahon, IL. Drivers will be delivering forklifts, tow motors and their parts in 53ft dry van trailers in the eastern half of the US. Compensation

• Average gross weekly pay: $1,800
• Pay based on miles and stops
• Paid practical miles, paid for all miles loaded or empty
• Stop pay: $15 - $33 per stop
• Securing pay: $1 per 1000 pounds secured
• Bonuses:
• Sign on bonus: $3,000
• Referral bonus: $5,000

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home Time: Home weekends for 34 hour reset
• Schedule: 5-6 days out
• Typically leave out on Sunday or Monday, come back Friday or Saturday
• Route: Delivering anywhere within a 550 mile radius of Channahon, IL
• Level of Touch: No loading or unloading, must secure freight with wooden blocks and nail gun

Equipment

• Newer model Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Freightliner trucks
• Automatic transmission
• Amenities: electric APU and power inverter
• Governed speed: 70 mph
• ELD equipped using Samsara
• Outward facing camera

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license
• Drivers preferred with 1+ year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience
• Must have hazmat & tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment
• No felony in the past 7 years

• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
