Job summary

Cheeseman Transport in Greer, SC is seeking a CDL A OTR Driver to run on a dry van delivering forklifts, tow motors and parts. This role is out for two weeks and home three days, with benefits starting after 60 days of employment.

You will operate newer trucks, adhere to DOT rules and safety standards, and enjoy company perks including health, life, disability coverage and a 401(k) with match. Passenger program available after 90 days; orientation includes travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL A license required.
• 6 months driving experience required.
• Hazmat & tanker endorsements or willing to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• No felony in the past 7 years.
• No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years.
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate newer model trucks (Kenworth/Peterbilt/Freightliner).
• Deliver forklifts, tow motors and parts on a dry van trailer.
• Maintain compliance with ELD (Samsara) and speed limits (68 mph).
• Perform pre-trip inspections and logs as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and DOT regulations.
