Job summary

Cheeseman Transport is hiring a CDL A Regional Driver out of Greensboro, NC. You will deliver forklifts, tow motors and parts on a dry van trailer as part of our regional or OTR driving options.

Regional drivers enjoy home time on weekends, while OTR drivers are out 2 weeks and home 3 days. Cheeseman drivers can look forward to earning up to $1,900 per week, with lanes mainly east of the Mississippi and occasional trips west to Laredo, TX.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have CDL A license.
• Must have 6 Months Driving Experience.
• Hazmat & tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• No felony in the past 7 years.
• No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years.
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional and OTR routes from the Greensboro, NC area.
• Deliver forklifts, tow motors and parts on a dry van trailer.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Meet the home time expectations based on regional or OTR assignments.

What You’ll Do

Currently, we have an opening for Regional & OTR drivers out of the Greensboro, NC area

• Regional: Home on the weekend
• OTR: Out 2 weeks home 3 days
• Cheeseman drivers can look forward to grossing up to $1,900 a week.
• Our most frequent running lanes keep us East of the Mississippi but take our drivers as far West as Laredo, TX.

Equipment

• Newer model Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Freightliner trucks
• Automatic transmission
• Governed speed: 68 mph
• ELD equipped using Samsara
• Outward facing camera
