Job summary

American Driver LLC in Haslet, TX is seeking regional intermodal drivers to move rail containers between customers and rail yards. You’ll take the tractor home on days off, with paid miles and a $10,000 sign-on bonus after eligibility. The role offers a 24/7/365 operation with home-time miles and fixed yard-based management.

Shifts start 2 PM to 3 AM. 100% no touch freight, drop-and-hook options, and a weekly average pay around $1,538 with additional mileage and stop pay.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 180 days of orientation (cost reimbursed).

Job description

Plenty of regional jobs let you take the truck home. Very few pay you for the miles to get there. This one does, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a $1,538 weekly average. Regional intermodal work for drivers in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Pay

• 6th Day: optional extra day when you want it (a 34 hour reset is required before returning)

Schedule

• Weekend Wrap: Friday to Tuesday or Thursday to Monday
• Out 5, Home 2: every week
• Start Times: choose from available shifts between 2 PM and 3 AM, discussed on your welcome call

The Work

• Move rail containers between customers and rail yards in Haslet and Wylie, Texas, with some runs to Memphis
• Every run starts or ends at the Haslet rail yard
• Customers across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas
• 24/7/365 operation

Getting Started

• Day 1: full day of orientation, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Days 2 to 4 or more: out with a certified trainer on 10 hour days
• Smith System, close quarter maneuvering and job safety training included

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
• Hazmat endorsement within 180 days of orientation (cost reimbursed, training modules provided)
• Reliable personal transportation and a safe place to park the tractor, or use of the Haslet yard
• No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
