Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Allentown, PA is seeking a CDL-A Railroad Field Operator to perform hands-on railroad and heavy equipment work, including transportation, track maintenance, rigging, and emergency response. This role blends driving with equipment handling in a field crew environment.

The position requires outdoor work, operation of heavy equipment, and readiness for 24/7 emergency calls. Regional travel, per diem, and hotel accommodations are provided under a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction or field labor preferred.
• Willing to work 24/7 emergency calls, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment (DOT pre-trip/post-trip).
• Transport equipment to/from sites with proper loads and permits.
• Load/unload and secure machinery and materials.
• Support track maintenance, rigging, and construction tasks.
• Assist with crane setup and operation; monitor safety.
• Operate heavy equipment when qualified (cranes, backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, loaders).
• Handle hydraulic tools, welding/cutting torches, and hand tools.
• Travel regionally with per diem; hotel accommodations provided.
