Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks a CDL A Railroad Equipment Operator in Minneapolis, MN. This is a hands-on field role involving heavy equipment, rail recovery, and rigging.

Driving accounts for about 10% of the job; the rest is machinery operation, loading, unloading, and site work with a 24/7 emergency on-call schedule. Expect 60+ hours per week with overtime at time-and-a-half and additional compensation such as per diem or travel pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Experience with rigging and crane setup.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 emergency schedule.
• DOT pre-/post-trip inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Transport machinery, equipment, and materials to and from work sites.
• Inspect loads and verify permits for overweight and oversized shipments.
• Support train rerailing, load transfers, railroad car maintenance/repair, and track maintenance tasks.
• Assist with crane operation, rigging, and equipment setup.
• Work with safety briefings and document maintenance needs.
