Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is actively seeking owner-operators to join our team and drive our freight network. The role offers weekly earnings with planed routes, inspections, and compliance with federal regulations, while maintaining strong communication with dispatchers and customers.

You will operate both manual and automatic transmissions with GPS navigation, and enjoy benefits such as home nightly, plate and insurance programs, and access to our U-SAV discounts.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of tractor trailer experience.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A required.
• Must obtain TWIC & Hazmat within 60 days from start date.
• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Company Overview

Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
• Company owned chassis
