Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is hiring a driver to join our Baltimore operations. You will operate commercial trucks, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure loads are secured and delivered on time across routes in the region.

Responsibilities include maintaining DOT logs, communicating with dispatch about delays, and completing all delivery documentation while providing excellent service at delivery sites. Home every night with a typical 50-hour week.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• At least 6 months of verifiable driving experience in the last year.
• Compliance with DOT regulations and accurate log keeping.
• Strong time management and clear communication with dispatch.

Responsabilités

• Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads.
• Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes.
• Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance).
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes.
• Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.).
• Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
• Keep equipment clean and report any necessary repairs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL.
• 6 months of verifiable experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Strong time management & communication skills.
