Job summary

R-2 Contractors seeks a CDL-A OTR Driver based in Central Oregon with options for home-based or travel-based arrangements depending on project needs. You will transport heavy construction equipment nationwide, operate multiple CDL A vehicles, and support field crews at job sites.

The role requires overnight travel, a valid Class A CDL and Medical Card, and a commitment to safety and DOT regulations. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork and reports.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Strong background in loading, securing, and transporting heavy construction equipment.
• Availability for overnight travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Operate CDL class A vehicles, including various trucks.
• Drive to job sites to assist field employees in construction projects.
• Inspect vehicles and machinery for mechanical and safety issues.
• Load and secure equipment per DOT regulations and transport safely to and from job sites.
• Adhere to weight limits, routes, parking, and company policies.
