Job summary

R-2 Contractors seeks a dependable CDL-A driver (AZ) to support construction operations locally or regionally. This driving role involves transporting heavy equipment and materials to Arizona project sites, with regular home time and adherence to safety and DOT rules.

You will operate various CDL-class vehicles, assist field crews, perform inspections, and maintain delivery paperwork. The position requires independent work, strong safety focus, and drug/background checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
• Experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with project teams.
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment to Arizona job sites.

Position: CDL- A Local or OTR Driver (AZ)

R2 Contractors is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL- A Driver to support construction operations OTR. This is a driving position, allowing drivers to be home regularly while playing a key role in transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites across the region.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation requirements.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22-$34per hour, DOE.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday -Friday
• Occasional schedule flexibility based on project demands.
• What types of tractors do we operate?
  We have 3-4 axle Kenworth T880s and 3 Peterbilt 579s for our sleeper trucks. We run dump trucks, water trucks, a transfer, a tub, and 2 belly dumps. We also run some step deck and lowboy as needed locally.
• What trailer configurations and equipment do our drivers typically haul?
  We run step decks and lowboys up to 10 axles.
