Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc is seeking a dependable CDL-A driver to support construction operations. This full-time role involves transporting heavy equipment to Arizona job sites and supporting field crews with safe, compliant operations.

You will operate multiple heavy-haul vehicles, perform inspections, and maintain accurate delivery records. Candidates must have a Class A CDL with a medical card, pass drug screening and background checks, and be able to work independently while communicating

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and medical card are required.
• Experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation requirements.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.

Position: CDL- A Local or OTR Driver (AZ)

R2 Contractors is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL- A Driver to support construction operations OTR. This is a driving position, allowing drivers to be home regularly while playing a key role in transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites across the region.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.

• $22-$34per hour, DOE.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday -Friday
• Occasional schedule flexibility based on project demands.
• What types of tractors do we operate? We have 3-4 axle Kenworth T880s and 3 Peterbilt 579s for our sleeper trucks. We run dump trucks, water trucks, a transfer, a tub, and 2 belly dumps. We also run some step deck and lowboy as needed locally
• What trailer configurations and equipment do our drivers typically haul? We run step decks and lowboys up to 10 axles
