Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a professional driver to transport, load, and unload hazardous wastes from multiple customer sites in compliance with safety regulations.

You will operate vacuum and box trucks and other equipment, perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and complete paperwork efficiently while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A with clean driving record.
• Tanker endorsement required; Hazmat endorsement strongly desired.
• Must be able to drive manual transmissions.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 75+ lbs.
• Overtime as required including occasional weekend work.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport, load, and unload liquid and solid hazardous wastes.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and regulatory manifests.
• Ensure proper cargo handling, securement, and full compliance with safety regulations.
• Deliver products and complete all required paperwork courteously and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members while keeping work sites clean.

Job Summary

This driver will transport, remove, deliver, and collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. You will be required to load and unload trucks, with the ability to operate a variety of trucks and equipment—including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and any other equipment matching your license on site if necessary.

Key Responsibilities
