Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to support food distribution across intrastate and interstate routes. This role requires operating tractor-trailer or straight trucks between 2am-6am, delivering orders on a strict schedule and ensuring product integrity at delivery.

Responsibilities include safety checks, load securing, and accurate paperwork, with seven-day on-call rotation and potential Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move freight.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect and secure loaded trailers and freight.
• Deliver and unload customer orders on schedule.
• Obtain customer signatures and verify deliveries.
• Complete required freight paperwork accurately.
