Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a qualified CDL-A driver to move trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer equipment. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, hook and unhook, document activities, and maintain logs to ensure safe and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading as needed, following dispatch instructions, and complying with all DOT regulations. Overnight stays may be required on certain routes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A Commercial Driver’s License with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• Automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.
• 1 year experience within the most recent 3 years, or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR and meet DOT regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations.
• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform daily pre-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies; load/unload freight as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and complete required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies; perform other duties as required.
