Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking CDL-A delivery drivers to service routes within the Tennessee area. You will operate tractor trailers and straight trucks to deliver food products to customers, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

Role includes daily minimum guarantee of $280 and a competitive benefits package. Schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; start/end times vary with days typically 10–12 hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure a new one.
• Able to lift/move freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Safely operates tractor trailer or straight truck per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks and inspections.
• Deliver and unload products following scheduled routes and ensure accurate paperwork.
• Obtain customer signatures and collect payments when required.
• Maintain secure loading/unloading procedures and document hours.
