Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is hiring local P&D drivers to move freight between terminals and meet points across the West region, including CA. Local daily home time and weekend/night shifts may be required.

Competitive pay includes up to $33.17/hour with overtime after 8 hours. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with employee-only and family coverage options are offered, plus 401K with 100% match up to 5%. PTO accrues and holiday pay after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Must have a clean driving record with no DUI in the last 3 years.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Meet the Company’s reliability standards for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Availability to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.
