Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, a local P&D carrier in California, seeks drivers to move freight between terminals and meet points, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Double/Triples endorsements, and have 1+ year of verifiable commercial driving experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K match, PTO, and holiday pay after 90 days.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in last 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Ability to meet the Company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competitive Pay:

• Experienced drivers may earn up to $32.64/hour.
