Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. is seeking a Class A Driver to operate a 1-ton truck with a gooseneck trailer, transporting materials between TAS warehouses and vendor sites in the greater Houston area.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, item verification, and assisting with warehouse transactions while maintaining DOT compliance. Strong safety and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Knowledgeable of USDOT requirements.
• 3+ years of CMV experience, preferably with a flatbed.
• Experience with dry-van trailers and transporting oversize/overweight freight.
• Knowledge of permits, routing and load securement for oversized freight.
• Strong organizational skills and safety-focused approach.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication; customer relations.
• Computer literacy in Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Verify items being picked up or delivered.
• Manage basic automotive repairs and vehicle cleanliness.
• Load/unload with hands, forklift, or other equipment according to best practices.
• Assist warehouse with transactions as needed.
• Maintain DOT compliant driver files and conduct road tests.
• Support Logistics and EHS in DOT compliance programs.
• Other duties as assigned by TAS.
