Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for daily home time and a predictable schedule. Earn $80,000–$88,000 average annual gross pay with a $5,000 bonus and consistent Sunday–Thursday routes.

You'll handle local intermodal work with daily Chicago runs and additional local duties within 100 miles of Fort Wayne, averaging about 1,900 miles per week, predominantly container pickups and deliveries between customers and the rail yard.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days; reimbursement available.
• Reliable transportation.
• No SAP drivers.
• Riders not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal freight with daily Chicago runs.
• Additional local work within a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne.
• Approximately 1,900 miles/week.
• Primarily container pickup and delivery between customers and the rail yard.
• Shift mix varies by time: Day shift ~60% drop/hook, 40% live; Night shift ~80% drop/hook, 20% live.
