Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to deliver intermodal freight with daily home time and consistent Sunday–Thursday routes. Expect roughly 1,900 miles per week, with varied live/drop-hold duties and home daily schedules.

The role offers a strong earning potential of $80,000–$88,000 annually, plus a $5,000 bonus and additional local work within 100 miles of Fort Wayne. Evening and night shifts are available with different split ratios.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months truck driving experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Hazmat endorsement within 60 days (reimbursement available)
• No SAP drivers
• Riders not permitted

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal freight with daily Chicago runs
• Approximately 1,900 miles/week
• Container pickup and delivery between customers and the rail yard
• Day shift: approximately 60% drop/hook and 40% live
• Night shift: approximately 80% drop/hook and 20% live
