Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for daily home time and consistent routes to Chicago. Average annual pay is $80,000–$88,000 with a $5,000 bonus and a mix of drop/hook and live load/unload freight.

The role covers local intermodal freight within 100 miles of Fort Wayne, Indiana, with about 1,900 miles per week and home daily. Hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire; cost reimbursed after endorsement is added.
• No SAP drivers.
• Reliable transportation.
• Riders not permitted.

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal freight with daily runs to Chicago.
• Additional local work within a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne.
• Primarily container pickup and delivery between customers and rail yards.
• 1,900 miles/week.
• Drop/hook and live load/unload freight.
