Job summary

National Salvage & Service Corporation is seeking an experienced Grapple Truck Knuckle Boom operator in the Birmingham, AL area. The role requires operating a knuckle boom log loader or grapple with a CDL Class A, loading trucks and rail cars, and performing site debris removal in a daytime, Monday–Friday schedule.

You will fill daily paperwork, use a smartphone GPS/ELD, and adhere to safety policies. Light lifting and exposure to outdoor elements are part of the job; overtime and weekends

Qualifications

Experience operating knuckle boom log loader or grapple with a CDL Class A.
Able to work long hours, overtime, and weekends in varying weather.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Able to lift 50 pounds and handle outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Picking up railroad ties and other wood using a rear mounted log loader boom
Loading trucks or rail cars in a fast paced environment
Operating a chainsaw
Removing debris at sites using log loader boom
Able to work long hours overtime and possible weekends in various weather conditions
Filling out daily paperwork
Ability to use a smartphone GPS and Electronic Logging Device
