Job summary

Schneider National is seeking experienced Class A drivers for intermodal routes within 125 miles of Chicago, IL. You will haul freight containers on company-owned chassis with minimal touch, and work with rail yards efficiently.

This role offers hourly pay with load pay, a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 months, paid orientation, and time off after 6 months plus holiday pay. HazMat and tanker endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• HazMat and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Elwood, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Pay and bonus potential

• Hourly pay and load pay.
• Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL or Elwood, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
